Chemistry

Chemistry (Master's and Doctoral Degrees)

Program Description

The Graduate Program in Chemistry of the University of Brasilia (PPGQ) was created in 1974 (Master level). In 1993, the PhD course began. The main objectives of the Program are: i) to train high level professionals for academia, public research agencies and private institutions; ii) contribute to the production of knowledge and innovation in the various areas of knowledge of Chemistry.

Currently, the Program comprises the Master's Program in Chemistry, with the objective of enriching the academic formation and developing the scientific research capacity of graduates in Chemistry and related areas; and the Doctoral Program in Chemistry, with the objective of training high academic level professionals who can act as researchers and teachers in border areas of Chemistry, as well as teachers to meet current and future demands in teaching, research and technological development of the country.
