Law
Graduate Program in Law (Academic Master's, Professional Master's and Doctoral Degrees)
Program Description
The UnB Graduate Program in Law (PPGD-UnB) emerged in 1975 with the name of "Graduate Program in Law - Master's Degree", having been accredited by the Federal Council of Education in February, 1977, with the area of concentration on "Law and State". The program remained only with the Master's degree until 2002, when the Doctoral Program Project was presented. The project, which was approved in 2003 by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Post-graduate Education (CAPES), expanded the Concentration Area from "Law and State" to "Law, State and Constitution".
As a center of excellence in research, PPGD-UnB aims to contribute to the training of Law professors and researchers to work in the academic and professional fields throughout Brazil and, especially, in the Midwest region. In addition, the Program aims to be an internationalized research center, with international production and research partnerships with different international centers of excellence, thus enabling the exchange of students, teachers and their research.
